Fence ProjectThe National For Artists - By Artists Society's Fence Project is an online exhibit designed to showcase the arts of college students - visual arts, performing arts, culinary arts, film and more.
The Fence Project was inspired by the works of Arthur Rose of Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Artist Arthur Rose was known as, 'The Dean of Black Arts'. He was an Associate Professor at Claflin University; the oldest HBCU in South Carolina and the only college where African Americans could earn a bachelor's degree in art in the South in the mid - century. |
